COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE
Meeting Minutes – October 16, 2013

CPC MEETING:  (began at 7:05 pm)
Members Present:  Laura FitzGerald-Kemmett, Bob Sears, John Kemmett, Allan Clemens, Patty Norton, Kenny Mitchell, Joe Gamache AND Bob Overholtzer
Absent:  Bill Strait
Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes:
Approval granted for September 2013 Minutes
Bob Sears moved to accept and Patty Norton 2nd, unanimously accepted.

Call to order:  7:07pm

Chair Report
Miscellaneous:
  • Two weeks ago at Selectman's Meeting they voted unanimously to place all of our articles on warrant, Laura was pleased with the ‘team’ effort is which made this successful.  Next steps were discussed – Laura would like to have a “Visioning Session” with other town departments so discussions can take place on what each department is working on for projects.
  • CPC members to reach out to their respective committees (Historical, Parks/Fields, Selectmen’s office, Recreation, Conservation, etc.) to inform them of CPC’s outreach and try to set up times/dates to meet.
  • CPC Application link to be sent out by Eileen.  Committee needs to review and edit where needed so it is more community friendly to fill out/complete.

New Business:
Hanson Youth Baseball

Stone Property
No Update – ongoing
WHRHS – Outdoor Fitness/Sports/Recreational Center (Open Space/General)
No Update – ongoing





Old Business:
Camp Kiwanee
Laura to reach out to Bill Strait and see if representatives from Camp Kiwanee can attend a CPC meeting so that potential projects could be discussed.
Thomas Mill Signs
Spot where sign is to be placed was marked - ongoing
Bonney House Project
Bonney House- Allan has talked to the people replacing the beams but has not any further conversation with the Vo-Tech.

Next Meeting:   November 13, 2013 (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE FROM 11/20 TO 11/13)
